Yes, I know what u guys are thinking…that this blog of mine is dead already rite????

Sorry larh…I memang hangat-hangat tahi ayam one…

I get bored of things too easily…LOL!!!

Since I have all the time in the world now, I shall save me bloggie from annihilation.

Now where should I start huh????

Sem 1 started on the 15^th of july but I’ve already moved into Angkasa Condominium on the 1^st week of july itself. Really loved that place..it was far better than my expectations.10 mins walk to UCSI,Angkasa Condo is the place where most of the international students dwell until they graduate.We, Malaysians really look like foreigners here while the Nigerians look like locals.Check this place one day before debates.

I’ve managed to adapt myself to the new environment on the first day itself. My housemates welcomed me with open arms.They made me feel at home. I am so moved. Fyi, I’m staying with a lecturer from School of Applied Sc, 2 biotech students and a med student. I could not ask for better housemates. They help me a lot especially in studies and house chores. I feel so pampered over there. No matter how extreme they pampered me, we still hv a spring cleaning timetable in which all of us have to abide accordingly.So yea, have to become kuli eventhough being raised as a princess. * coughs*

On the 2^nd day,however, I was home alone considering everyone had lectures and work. Anddd…I did the stupidest thing in the century!!!!I bet no one has ever attempted this before. I actually burnt an electric kettle which caused my kitchen to be on fire. A minor one, that is. It happened when I woke up really late and still in my semi-conscious state. I wanted to drink Milo but there was no hot water. The electric kettle was left conveniently on the stove so I turned on the stove and left the kitchen to do other things. When I went back to the kitchen, to my horror, the base of the kettle which was made of plastic was melting and caused the whole stove to be on fire. I really didn’t know what to do. Poured a bucket of water and the fire rose higher. No choice, I went down to call the security guards.When they reached my place, the fire was gone.Laugh all u want, not like I can hear u also!!! Now that was really a stupid, illogical, nonsensical and crappy accident. I still cant forgive myself till now.

Moving on to uni life, we had record-breaking speeches and briefings on the 1^st day.BORING!!!We had orientation games on the 2nd day which was organized by the 2^nd year pharm students. We,the 1^st year pharm students, were divided into groups. My group’s name is LALA.COM (don’t ask!). Our first task was creating a cheer for our respective groups. I had to act like a lalamui. So much for despising lalamuis and lalachais and I had to act like one. Ewww…so damn malufying. Till present, some seniors could recognize me bcoz of tht act. *blushes* After that, we had rubber band game, lunchtime, drama competition, drugs bomb game and signature-hunting. Had a great time embarrassing myself on the stage. Kinda reminded me of the good ol’ Girl Guides and Rangers days.

After that day, it was all about attending lectures and lab sessions. From 8am-5pm.Almost everyday. Like office hours, rite??? I took 5 subs for this semester ie Physiology, Microbiology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Healthcare for Pharmacy. Interesting yet tough and challenging!! 3 lab session per week which means 3 lab reports to hand in on the following week. No time to study at all. I tried to study consistently but my eyes automatically shut after 10pm.Then there were 2 quizzes which contribute 10% each to our final exam marks. Last but not least is finals la, doh! During lectures, I sit at the back of the classroom. I practically can mix with all of my coursemates but I’m closer to those sitting at the back, THE BACK-BENCHERS!!! Love you guys so so so much. I was so worried that I would not make any friends coz there weren’t anyone I know at all. I thought I was gonna die of depression on the 1^st day but that was not the case. Because of them, I enjoy going for lectures. And many of u know that I cant handle stress well,rite? Usually the day before a quiz or final exam commences, I’d freak out and cry and feel upset. I’m thankful to have these ppl to calm me down.

Oh yeah, and during my finals, I sat in front of this particular dude, who sighed most of the time. Like the paper is 3 hours, he’d sigh for 3 hours.U wanna sigh ,u sigh softly larh.I can hear u la. Make me damn tension u know.Bods betul. One of the worst nightmares for a student. Then when I asked him was the questions so damn hard and unattemptable.U know what he said. “Nola, the questions were quite easy.I finished the ppr in 2 hours time.Think can get A larh..I had trouble to breathe throughout the ppr,that's y so noisy lorh.” Stups man.

As for the lecturers,my favourite would be Dr. Thet Thet Htar, Organic Chem lecturer .She’s so sweet and dear. There was this particular question,

“Explain the types of substitution for the 6 compounds below” (6 marks)

I didn’t know what the question wanted and Dr Thet was like walking past me a million times.I wanted to ask her but i didn’t coz I tot she wouldn’t tell n all.After all, it was my responsibility to interpret the question correctly,rite?

Oh that oneee.I didn’t know la at first.Then I asked Dr. Thet,she said the question is asking for SN1 and SN2.She’s sooooo sweetttttt laaaa to tell me that.
WHAAAATTTTTT????SN1 and SN2???? My answers damn dumb wei. Free radical substitution, aromatic substitution..etc.Holy crap....should have asked her. *super drama*

So unfortunate!!! I keep losing easy marks during exams. *blows steam* Dahla, I had not enough time to finish the papers and no time to check. Stupid not??? *sighs*

Nvm that. Did I mention that I have a lecturer with the same initial as me? WPS. Almost the same name. Ms. Wong Pooi See. Cute anot?? Everyone thought I was her younger sister u know. Since I have almost the same name as her and I sit at the back of the class, she could recognize me easily. Oh joy. Which means I cant really skip her lectures lorh. =(

Throughout my sem1 days, I’ve managed to make lots and lots of friends.Mostly were through my other frens and some were totally accidental. Elaborate? Okay…the UCSI library is always packed with students and thus, its impossible to find an empty table with no one occupying it. So, we have to tumpang other ppl’s table sometimes. Lucky me…I always had to share with Nigerians and non- Malaysians. Had fun interacting with them in Bahasa Melayu.hahaha.

And..and.. I've lost 2kgs. NM (no meaning) betul.

I'm done with my finals.Ajak me out,ppl!!
